InkSpace > Entangled scape 2015

Our identity is a complex, entangled amalgamation of varying influences from the past and present. These identities are defined and influenced by our history, society, and the culture of our immediate surroundings. Our perceptions affect how we act, react and process reality.

Perception is unique to every individual and is simply one’s interpretation of reality. The phrase, “Is the glass half empty or half full”, can be referred to as a philosophical question. The purpose of the idiom is identical to the project Entangled Scape as it demonstrates that the situation may be seen in different ways depending on one’s experiences and context. Our variant perspectives may be an opportunity in the situation or be perceived as a limitation. The Entangled works confront our limited knowledge and tolerance and ask to at least, question the boundaries to discover how to a different possibility will widen our scape and sense of interconnectedness.

“We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.” - Anais Nin
