BIO: Ina Kaur is a native of New Delhi, India; residing and working in United States. Kaur graduated with her Master of Fine Art in Studio Arts from Purdue University, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in Printmaking and drawing with Roll of Honor from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. Kaurs current research deals with investigating how her work is affected by personal hybrid identity. The theoretical basis for the discussion includes theories and readings involving post-colonialism by Homi K. Bhabha; deconstruction by Jacques Derrida and Carl Jungs notion of universal symbols. Her interest is in the synthesis between oppositions and how they coexist.
